Key West — Getting there and away

By Air: There are 3 airports associated with Key West.

Miami International airport is a major airport which accommodates all major airlines. It is located 160 miles north and is a 3 hour drive to Key West. From here you may rent a car or take a shuttle. You may also take a Greyhound shuttle, which has three daily departures. (information below)

The GREYHOUND KEYS SHUTTLE — (800) 231-2222 has daily scheduled departures from the Miami Airport to all areas in the Keys.

Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Beach International Airport is another major international airport servicing all major airlines. It is located 190 miles north and is about 3 hours and 40 minutes drive to Key West. You may also rent a car from here or choose to take a shuttle (shuttle information above)

Key West International Airport is a smaller airport offering service from US Airways, Delta Airlines and American Eagle. This is the closest airport as its located in Key West. There are also smaller airlines which use Key West International Airport. These are: Cape Air and various private charters from airports through Florida and the Bahamas.

By Car: Driving a car through the Florida Keys is a very scenic and adventurous drive. Most commonly tourists will leave from Miami and buckle up for 3 hours of beautiful tropical breezes and history as the mile markers guide you south. You can rent a car from either Miami or Fort Lauderdale Airport and head south. Be sure to inquire with your hotel that parking is available and if so, if there is a fee involved.

By Cruise Ship: The Port of Key West is no stranger to Cruise Ship passengers. When you arrive by Cruise ship, your boat will dock at one of three docking facilities: Mallory Square Dock, Pier B, or Navy Mole. Check with the local Port office for Cruise Ship dock information. (305) 809-3790
